Soho’s “Wentworth” season 5 is set for a thrilling reappearance of its top character Bea Smith after the proclamation of her death in the show’s previous season.

The popular Australian drama series revealed an emotional ending on its fourth installment when Bea was stabbed to death by Joan. In a previous report of iTech Post, her death was validated by the show’s producers. However, speculations say otherwise. Fans are to expect a Jon Snow – like comeback of Bea in the upcoming season, this time with a minor role to play as she recovers from the tragic incident.

According to The Bitbag, the rumor that Bea Smith is alive is due to a lack of evidence that she is dead. The Season 4 finale did not confirm her demise nor exposed her death in a figurative means. Also, “Wentworth” is rumored to have filmed an alternate Season 4 finale that shows an ambulance taking Bea to the hospital where she survived.

Movie News Guide mentioned that the fifth installment of the show will illustrate how the lives of the remaining characters continue after the loss of Bea. One of the most awaited scenes would come from Bea’s beloved girlfriend, Allie as to how she is going to cope with Bea’s passing.

Bea’s character in Wentworth Prison takes the lead among other cast members. Hers is a story that has been the core of the series. Her life before prison might have been worse being a victim of her abusive husband, whom she tried to kill after she got brutally beaten one morning. She is the team player in the series and her death could open doors to new characters and brand new storylines for existing characters and in the upcoming seasons.

“Wentworth” season 5 will hit the screens in May 2017.
