It has then been reported that actress Kelly McCreary, who plays half-sister to the character title Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), teased that in the upcoming season, it will be more about the lives of those remaining original cast members. According to Cinema Blend, McCreary said that many characters have come in and out of the series already, so this time, it will focus on how much have changed among the original cast members.

Season 13 To Give More Focus On Original Cast Members

In the past season, the focus of the storyline was mainly on Meredith Grey and on how she coped up with the loss of her husband, Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey). She struggled with being a single mother and even started dating again. As a result, many of the fans of the series who have started watching the show from the first season were really happy about how the storyline focused on Meredith.

According to International Business Times, the new season will explore on how much the remaining original cast members have grown, and the changes that they have gone through over the past twelve years.
