'Divinity: Original Sin 2' Release Update: Early Access Brings Five Races, Four Player Co-Op Support; PvP Arena Mode Only On Sept. 15

"Divinity: Original Sin 2" will be launched via Steam Early Access on Sept. 15. On top of having the Steam page alive ahead of launch, the launch will carry four player co-op and five races support.

While other reports claim that the game sequel is no different from the first franchise, the developer made it clear that one of the strongest main features of the "Divinity: Original Sin 2" is the addition of origin stories.

A "Divinity: Original Sin 2" player can pick any of the four available origin stories; however, a few more options will be added up in the months to come. The origin stories is the elements that determines how the other characters of the game, as well as the NPCs, will treat the players. However, it does not get to affect abilities or stats.

The "Divinity: Original Sin 2" first hour of gameplay was tried by PC Gamer. The player went with The Red Prince, one of the game's pre-built characters that come with a backstory. While the rest of the game went well, the start will be modified according to Larian, the game developer.

The upcoming "Divinity: Original Sin 2" game will also bring co-op mode. If a player decides to tread this route, each of the players can have different goals. This improvement means that a players will have to come up with a decision on whether to work together towards the accomplishments of special missions as a team or go through it alone.

The co-op support can accommodate four players, while the first franchise allowed two players only. "Divinity: Original Sin 2" increase to four players in the co-op mode aims to offer a more enjoyable gameplay.

"Divinity: Original Sin 2" also has the Player versus Player Arena Mode, where players can combat with other teammates through a small map. During the Steam Early Access, fights can only happen in this arena. However, developers have revealed that multiple modes will be presented like King of the Hill, Capture the Flag, and Free-for-All when completed game is finally released.
