Sony's Xperia X Compact Leaked: Specs And Design Review

Year after year, it seems that the smartphone manufacturers keep leaning towards releasing units with larger and larger screens. While the reason for this could be simple - a larger phone would mean a more powerful one - there are still individuals who prefer that their handheld fit snugly within the comfort of one hand. That is, without the sacrifice of power. Therein lies the niche market that Sony has catered to, most recently with its Xperia X Compact.

Xperia X Compact: Design

Actually, the device is not yet available in the market, but its rendering has already been leaked. According to XDA Developers, the newest addition to the Compact series will be the Xperia X Compact, following the Xperia Z5 Compact. The mini Z5 was widely accepted as one of the best pocketable flagships in the market.

Meanwhile, the Xperia X Compact indicates a relatively larger bottom half, indicating a speaker on the bottom chin. It also sports a few buttons on the side, which indicate the volume trackers and a shutter button.

Xperia X Compact: Specs

According to Tech Radar, the upcoming unit will have a 4.6 inch display. In addition, it will likely have a 720p screen and will arrive with waterproofing, a fingerprint sensor and suitable specs. The specs at this point, are unknown. However, it is expected to fall just a little but for the standard Xperia X unit.
