Ben Affleck Teases Deathstroke In Recent Twitter Post

Fans got really excited when Ben Affleck tweeted a short clip of a popular DC villain - Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke. Does this mean he is the villain in Batman's upcoming solo film?

A lot of questions came up after the post. Mostly because Ben Affleck just dropped the video without any context. But it seems like questions will be left unanswered since according to Chicago Tribune, DC Entertainment did not respond to their request for a comment.

For those who do not know who Deathstroke is, here's a quick rundown:

  • He is an ex-military colonel that turned into a super soldier after an experiment
  • He is highly intelligent and has a brilliant tactical mind
  • He quickly regenerates from injuries
  • He was originally a prime villain in the comic 'The New Teen Titans'
  • He had feuds with Green Arrow and Batman
  • He once took down the entire Justice League
  • He sometimes impersonates Batman

Apparently, Ben Affleck was not just trying to drive fanboys into a frenzy according to The Wrap. They had confirmed that Deathstroke will indeed be the main antagonist in Batman's solo movie.

But there are also rumors that Deathstroke will instead appear on 'Justice League' movie which will be released on November 17, 2017, as they are now currently shooting.

Entertainment Weekly theorized that maybe Deathstroke will debut briefly on 'Justice League' next year and will most likely menace Batman in his solo film. Which actually makes sense.

Regardless of the speculations after Ben Affleck's Twitter post, there is not too many information on how DC plans to include Deathstroke in their Warner Bros' DC Movie Universe.

No release dates for a Batman solo movie was confirmed yet however, it will be very interesting though to finally see Deathstroke on the big screen.

The DC movie universe heroes need to brace themselves for the havoc that Deathstroke will bring.
