'Pokemon Go' News: Earn Real Money in Pokemon Go as a ‘Lure Manager’

The Pokemon Go phenomenon reaches out even to the job market, as one company is hiring for a 'Lure Manager'.

According to the reports from BGR, a 'Lure Manager' is someone who has reached the level 10 of the game and is considered as an expert of playing the game. A qualified applicant should at least have an Android phone, knows how to make in-app purchases, must possess at least a college degree, has excellent management skills, confident and a team player, can work without supervision, must be willing to work in any areas within Metro Manila, must be available to work during weekends, must also be open to work at flexible time if required to, and must at least be 20 years old.

According to Yibada, the company's name is Voyager Innovation. The 'Lure Manager' position is a part-time job that is good for only one month. The job function of the 'Lure Manager' is just to play the game and activate game lures for the entire day. The job initially appeared as if it is a joke. However, it turns out to be a real job. The company is a well-known institution that hosts lure events. Smart Communications, which is a large mobile company in the Philippines, is affiliated with Voyager Innovations. Due to the popularity of Pokemon Go in the Philippines, Voyager Innovations has collaborated with Freenet.ph to host various game lure events.

In Singapore, a similar job was also opened. The position was called 'Pokemon Master'. A Pokemon master is tasked to teach, train, and offer tips to Pokemon Go play. Other functions that were included in the job are to host lure parties, and to walk and level up. The idea of hiring a Pokemon Master was initiated when there were an increasing number of inquiries related to other players' Pokemon Go experiences.
