Based on the trailer of the upcoming fifth season of "Prison Break," the story will be set in a prison in Yemen, where Michael is seen alive after presumed to be dead during the season four finale. The fifth season of the series will not just be centered on Michael's escape from prison, but his escape from the country as well.

There also remains the question as to why Michael is in prison in Yemen and how he managed to survive his presumed death during season four. His brother, Lincoln will be helping him plot his escape. Since the original cast are assumed to be coming back for the series as well, it is likely that they will be helping Lincoln in getting Michael out of prison.
