'Twin Star Exorcists' Updates And Spoilers: Original Anime Arc Kicks Off, Kegare To Invade Mortal World

"Twin Star Exorcists" also known as "Sousei no Onmyouji" has recently started showing the anime-original story arc "Archipelago Battle for Supremacy" or "Rettō Ha Ran-hen" on its updated episode (Episode 21).

According to Anime News Network, the arc will introduce two new characters:

Suzu- voiced by Yūki Wakai is a philosopher-like Basara, who is interested with the feelings and behavior of humans; and
Sae- voiced by Hitomi Sasaki, a little girl that Rokuro, Benio and the others find during a fight with Kegare at Magano. Rokuro decides to take care of her with Benio. She calls Rokuro "Papa."

The new "Twin Star Exorcists" arc (which was not included in the original plot in the manga) begins two years after the deadly battle of the Twin Stars duo, Rokuro and Benio against Yuto, which caused Benio to injure her legs. Now Benio is all healed and Mayura decided to become an exorcist to fight alongside her friends.

The opening scene shows Mayura's debut as an exorcist. She fights Kegares in the Magano with exorcists from the Seika Dorm, Rokuro and Benio. But as always, she is still a klutz.

It seems like our heroine did not waste any second in the two-year time jump. Rokuro seems much stronger and cooler now. As they start their lives as high school students, female students that rejected him before are gathering around him (and guess who's getting jealous?).

After another battle with Kegares the exorcists found a girl lost in Magano. Rokuro decides to call her Sae and let her stay at his and Benio's home. The preview shows us a very disturbing scene. The Kegares are leaking from Magano and attacking humans in the mortal world which has never happened before.

The arc will also feature the Jūni Tenshō. Anime News Network listed the cast for these characters as follows:
