‘The Young And The Restless’ Update: Justin Hartley Just Left The Show, Character Will Be Killed?

Justin Harley who played as Adam since 2014 had already said goodbye to the "The Young and The Restless" series. He timed it when Adam was missing and presumed dead in the show.

Harley announced through his Facebook page that he will no longer come back in the show. He wrote, "After many weeks of having to keep quiet in order not to spoil storylines for all of you, the time has finally come that I'm able to write you this letter."

He further mentioned how thankful he is for all his "The Young and The Restless" fans and that they are the most loyal fans he has encountered.

Rumors are now saying that Michael Muhney who also played as Adam before Harley, is set to be recast for the role. But it seems as if due to his high profile departure from the show, this rumor is very unlikely to happen.

And if the predictions and spoilers are right, Dylan and Paul will confirm that the DNA found at the cabin is Adam's and that he died from the explosion. So a recast for the role is surely not needed. I guess fans will find out soon how the showrunners tweaked their plot.

So what's next for Justin Hartley now that he left "The Young and The Restless?"

He now has a new series titled, "This Is Us" and he is extremely proud to be a part of it. He wrote, "Although I'm leaving the show, you haven't gotten rid of me. Hahaha...not so fast. I'm beyond thrilled and proud of my new series, This Is Us. We have a sensational cast and crew, wonderful writing and I would be honored to have you all tune in and watch."

If you still want to see more of Hartley, check out his new show which will premiere on Sept. 20, at 10PM EDT on NBC.
