Just recently, a new photo for the upcoming "Gilmore Girls" revival was teased to the fans who have long been waiting for this moment. Ever since the series ended many years ago, the viewers were not at all satisfied with how it ended. Thus, the news on the upcoming revival has set the fans in great excitement, especially on the possible conclusion to the love story of Luke and Lorelai.

The photo released contained of Luke sitting beside Lorelai in what seems like a movie screening that was being attended by the couple. In the photo, Lorelai is on the phone and seems to be getting a shocking news, as implied by her startled face. There have already been many assumptions and predictions to the phone call since it was spoiled to social media.

The Call Could Only Be Coming From Rory Or Emily Gilmore, And Could Be About Lorelai's Father, Richard Gilmore

Given the history of the series, it looks like the phone call could either be with Rory or her mother, Emily. There hasn't been any information revealed as to the status of the lives of Rory and Emily when the series returns on Netflix. However, there has already been a confirmation that Rory will be going through a life-crisis on the premiere. Only time will tell whether or not this crisis has something to do with the phone call that Lorelai got.

Reports also claim that the call could possibly be about the death of Lorelai's father, Richard Gilmore. The actor who played the role, Edward Herrmann passed away back in 2014 and so the writers will have to work their way around the storyline that would explain his absence in the revival.
