NBA Trade Rumors: Celtics, Lakers Offer Their Key Players For Paul George

Upholding the goal of a winning team for the upcoming NBA season, Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers seem to be more than willing to do whatever it takes to steal Indiana Pacers’ small forward Paul George.

Metro reported that he is producing 23.1 points per game season (with seven rebounds, 4.1 assists per game and 1.9 steals per game to boot).

George is a superstar in progress that can be targeted by any ball club. His impressive basketball credentials to date include three NBA All-Star awards and his two prestigious titles to both the All-NBA Team and the NBA All-defensive Team and most recently nailing the gold medal for the US in the Rio Olympics.

With basketball legend Kobe Bryant’s retirement, Lakers is in dire need of another superstar to reprise the crown. In fact, they are willing to give up some of its young prized talents like point guard D’Angelo Russell and small forward Brandon Ingram to acquire George.

Meanwhile the Boston Celtics are rumored to activate its shopping mode and this time, to get a great deal in George. In getting Paul, they are eager to swap point guard Isaiah Thomas and small forward Jae Crowder.

They failed to have the top free agent Kevin Durant in their league as the young superstar decided to join the powerful roster of Golden State Warriors instead.

According to Sports Rageous, Pacers president Larry Bird will not consider any trade offer unless it will be a win- win scenario. He is always up for a superstar to superstar deal to ensure that his team has the potentials to be hailed as the champion.

This is further supported by Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders when asked if Paul will be moved to Lakers.

“Not sure where the trading Paul George thing came from, but was laughed off the phone when I asked a Pacers source if it was a consideration. The Pacers are absolutely not looking at moving Paul George, unless the deal returned Kevin Durant.”
