Why Sony Is To Blame For Fallout 4 PS4 Mods Delay

One of the biggest upset ever happened to Fallout 4 is the ongoing delay of PS4 mods. Lots of fans have been hoping to get hold of such feature, but it seems to be a hard one to catch. Until now, Bethesda has yet to provide any specific release date, leaving the owners of the said system devastated. After all, the mods have long been in the back seat, with June being its initial release month. While the studio remains mummed about giving any particulars, most fans believe that Sony is the one to be blamed.

As previously reported here at iTech Post, Fallout 4 PS4 mods release date remains uncertain, though it has already been confirmed that the situation is being evaluated by Sony. But until no official progress is achieved, Bethesda wouldn't want to comment. Nevertheless, they can't deny the fact that users of the said console are starting to grow impatient. As each day passes, their hopes of getting hold of the feature starts to fade.

It holds true, though, that Fallout 4 PS4 mods faced various issues -- most of which are unique to Sony's system. Hence they had to make the difficult decision of cancelling it, even the Beta testing. The only catch, however, is that no one from either of the company wants to give out a more elaborated explanation.

Nevertheless, most Fallout 4 fans believe that Sony is to be blamed about it. There are those who said that there are mods that tend to open-up some of the tech giant's security architecture (designed for PlayStation consoles). And obviously, any company wouldn't want such thing to happen. One can't simply give anonymous players access to such delicate processes and/or systems.

For instance, there are Fallout 4 PS4 mods that can't utilize sound because of the proprietary system that Sony uses. And take note: the same system is also used for protecting any means of piracy. In one way or another, this is very understandable, given that the company has been hacked a couple of times already in the past. For sure, they don't want such scenario to happen ever again.

While there's every reason for Fallout 4 fans to get upset, it's safe to say that the root cause is beyond Bethesda's grasp. It's all up to Sony to remedy the issue. After all, it's their system that is getting all the faults. Unfortunately for the fans, they are on the receiving end, so they have to continue playing the waiting game.
