Kanye West's 'Yeezy' Season 4 Was A Mess; Collection Criticized After 'Cruelty' To Models

Kanye West's "Yeezy" Season 4 fashion show has received quite disappointing reviews - from being called "a total disaster" to being confused for a "performance art" or a "hot mess"- it was indeed far from what they expected.

The controversy doesn't stop there. Aside from the "blistering reviews", Kanye West is also being accused of "cruelty" to models at the New York Fashion Week.

The rapper turned designer unveiled his "Yeezy" Season 4 collection at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island under the sweltering heat on Wednesday.

Reports surfaced online that the rapper just ignored his models to faint in front of a shocked audience with no water or assistance from Kanye West's team. It was also noted that the models looked to be "visibly withered".

According to ELLE, there were at least 17 of the 500 "multiracial women" wearing nothing but neutral-toned leotards and bodysuits, had to rest and take a seat on the grass due to the sweltering heat. The models faint from standing under the heat of the sun for almost an hour-long.

Some of the attendees took to social media and expressed their dismay over the show.

Fashion critics were also quick to criticize the "Yeezy" Season 4 fashion show. One even went as far as calling for a "boycott" of the said collection.

On the other hand, while many of the models suffer from the sweltering heat, Kanye West's wife, Kim Kardashian West and her sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner were "priveledged" to sit in the shade on the grounds and even turned up an hour and 15 minutes late for the "Yeezy" Season 4 fashion show.

Aside Kim and her sisters, other A-list guests that were able to get "prime" seating included American editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, Tyga, La La Anthony, Lewis Hamilton and Pharrell Williams.
