The hit TV series "Narcos" was confirmed to be renewed by Netflix for season 3 and 4. Fans can expect a change in storyline following the demise of Pablo Escobar in season 2.

It can be recalled that the lead character, Pablo Escobar as portrayed by Wagner Moura has met his end in "Narcos" season 2. This has led to speculations as to who will replace his post. With the previous season taking away Escobar, what is there for the fans to see the next two seasons?

"Narcos" Season 3 And 4 Spoilers:

There have been rumors circulating online that Pablo Escobar could be replaced by Don Berna as portrayed by Diego Fernando Murillo. The said character was a former associate of Escobar and helped in forming the PEPES (Persecuted by Pablo Escobar). The goal of the group is to eliminate the drug kingpin.

Following Escobar's death, Don Berna took over Medellin and established smaller cartels around the country. He also focused on the smaller section of the drug supply chain. Then, the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (AUC) was created by the same people who formed PEPES. This results to the Madellin and Cali Cartels working closely with AUC.

Don Berna contributed in the said group by becoming the head of the drug trafficking activities and turned his own group into fighting coalition for AUC.

Although no confirmation has been made regarding Don Berna's role on the next two seasons, he still fits to replace Pablo Escobar in "Narcos". After all, executive producer Eric Newman clarified that the show is not just solely about Pablo Escobar and that it has a lot of stories to be told. He also pointed out that the title of the show is "Narcos" thus implying that the show is not solely tied to one character.
