‘Star Wars Battlefront’ Update: Death Star DLC Features New Mode, Playable Characters

Star Wars Battlefront will soon have the new Death Star DLC. The upcoming expansion will feature a new mode and several playable characters.

Death Star DLC & Battle Station Mode

EA Dice recently unveiled a sample of the Battle Station mode at Gamescom in Germany. The new mode was divided into three sections, according to the Star Wars Battlefront official site. The first objective is to fly into space and weaken a Star Destroyer's defenses. Rebels will A-wings and X-Wings to battle it out with the Imperial TIE Interceptors and Fighters.

The second objective is to extract a "very important droid" from inside the Death Star. The rebel forces have managed to get inside the Imperial space station. Players will finally get the chance to play two new playable characters namely, Chewbacca and Bossk.

The third and final mission will let players relive the first Star Wars space battle. Players can assume the role of Luke Skywalker flying an X-Wing or Darth Vader with a TIE Advanced fighter. Player can either blow up the Death Star or save it.

Lucky Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass Holders

EA Dice has already announced that the Death Star DLC is coming out this September. However, the game developer neglected to mention the exact date. Star Wars Battlefront season pass holders though will get the DLC two weeks in advance.

It's September now and more than a week has passed. This means that the upcoming DLC is expected to come out anytime now. Unless of course, EA Dice chooses to delay it which could make a lot of Star Wars Battlefront fans disappointed and probably angry.

The upcoming Death Star DLC will come with Star Cards and Blasters. EA Dice promised to reveal several more details in the coming days. Star Wars Battlefront is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Origin PC.
