'Fifty Shades Darker' Star Jamie Dornan Done With Fifty Shades Franchise; Actor Will Not Reprise Role As Christian Grey

Following the success of the movie "Fifty Shades of Grey", its sequel, "Fifty Shades Darker" is already set for release next year. And if it isn't enough, fans can expect another one on the way with "Fifty Shades Freed" set for release in the next couple of years.

But it doesn't stop there. Apparently, the "Fifty Shades" franchise is planning to release more sequels after "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed." Wow, that's a lot! Looks like Jamie Dornan a.k.a. Christian Grey will be quite busy in the next years to come. Or is he?

Rumor has it that the 34-year-old heartthrob does not want to reprise his role following the release of "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed".

In an interview with The Sun, Dornan made it clear that he's done with the franchise.

"We have done two movies back to back now, and I'm actually finished with it," he told The Sun. "I've done Fifty Shades forever."

He added: "I move on very fast in my mind. As much as from the outside people think you are synonymous with one character, but I'm very much like, 'Right, that's done' and move on to the next project and worry about that character."

Dornan also addressed the issue regarding the feud between the first film's director Sam Taylor-Johnson and the book's author EL James.

"There are pressures involved with everyone making a movie of this scale." Dornan said. "Not just Sam and Erika, everyone is feeling the pressure."

He continued: "Everyone is trying to complete their role as best they can. For Erika these are her babies, these mean more than her to anyone else."

Filming for "Fifty Shades Darker" wrapped up a few weeks ago and Dornan hinted that he misses the entire cast and crew, including co-star Dakota Johnson.

So, in case of more "Fifty Shades" franchise, who will be the next Christian Grey?

"Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" are slated to premiere on Feb. 10, 2017 and Feb. 9, 2018 respectively.
