Potter heads: “We want a Harry Potter Version of Pokemon Go!”

THE GAME

After the phenomenal mobile app Pokemon Go, Harry Potter fans are craving for a Hogwarts-themed version of the game. A petition to Niantic and Warner Brothers is circulating around social media to make the app come to life.

Stargaze Media, a motion graphics and design studio from England, made an enchanted entrance in the magical world of Harry Potter where you can be a Witch or Wizard as equivalent to Trainers in Pokemon Go, choose from the four houses of Hogwarts, hunt for magical beasts and the Deathly Hallows, use potions, and collect cards at magic-stops. The imaginative game introduction has already gained 602,896 views in just a month since its publication date on August 3.

ABOUT THE PETITION

The Harry Potter fandom goes gaga and a fan named Ashtyn Hannon made a petition targeting Warner Brothers and Niantic as the main authorities to combine the film and the game into a real app. The petition has now reached 56, 509 supporters, pretty close to its goal of 60,000.

Using the hashtag #WeNeedHarryPotterGO, Harry Potter fans are clamoring for this game to become a reality.

HARRY POTTER SUCCESSION

Continuing the saga, the new book Harry Potter and The Cursed Child comes as the 8th book in the series, and is currently being staged at the Palace Theatre in London.

Also, a trilogy movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will have its worldwide release date on November 18, 2016. This movie will serve as a prequel to the cinematic Harry Potter saga.

At present, the game might just be a petition, but given enough fan interest and clamor, Niantic and Warner Bros might just think that it's enough to create a real game.
