‘The Blacklist' Season 4 News And Updates: Kirk Not Liz's Real Father? Red To Be The Driving Force Of The Story

"The Blacklist" Season 4 booted in the next few weeks will feature a lot more revelations as the task force learns that Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) is alive and Red's (James Spader) connection to her will finally be revealed.

On the last few episodes of "The Blacklist" in season 3, we saw Liz in a body bag only to know that she faked her death and is still alive. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Executive Producers Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath treated the fans with some spoilers for the upcoming season.

"He says he's her father, but is he going to hurt her, help her, be kind to her, or does he want to destroy her?" Eisendrath said pertaining to Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen).

Movie News Guide cited that in the first three episodes of "The Blacklist" Season 4, news about Liz being alive will get around and she will be kidnapped by a person who claims to be his father. Red and Tom, with the help of the task force, tries to track down Liz and learns about Miles McGrath, who is famous for financing crimes for profit.

It turns out Miles is an ally of Kirk. Liz will finally find out the truth about his true motives as well as some secrets about her family and her relation to red.

Bookenkamp also explained in the same interview how the casts will feel on what Liz did. "Red is devastated. On one hand, he understands the danger hes brought to Liz by being part of her life the past three years  he knew the dangers  but on the other hand, hes only cooperating with the FBI so he can be part of her life. Emotionally, Reddington is in a very tricky and precious place. There is nothing worse than blatant rejection." he said.

The two further discussed that a large part of the "The Blacklist" Season 4 will deal with how people will react on Liz's stint. "Some will think that its a huge betrayal." Eisendrath added.

The two also explained that Tom will somehow realize that he really do care for Liz, but Red will be the "driving force" of the story.

Watch "The Blacklist" Season 4 premire on Sep. 22 on NBC network.
