Conspiracy theories are everywhere. This time, a new one surfaced online which, a lot of 90's babies, might find nostalgic - at the very least. Apparently, Justin Timberlake is still in love with his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears, 14 years after their breakup.

According to reports, the "Can't Stop The Feeling" singer had a slightly bizarre moment during an interview with "Trolls" co-star Anna Kendrick. Timberlake appears to stare off into space when he heard a Britney reference.

In the clip, the interviewer mentions the word “Pinky” around the 2:10 mark. As soon as the word sinks in, Timberlake appears to have a sudden change in expression – from joyful to dejected. Reports claim that he looks legitimately forlorn and broken-hearted for nearly 30 seconds, staring off into space, before recovering.

Fans of the ex-couple might be well aware that the term “Pinky” was the nickname he gave to Britney Spears when they were still dating. Spears on the other hand called him “Stinky.”

Spears and Timberlake dated in 1999 and immediately became one of the most celebrated couples in the industry. However, their almost perfect relationship took a different turn as they ended up pulling the plug in 2002 with reports claiming that Spears cheated with choreographer Wade Robson.

And just recently, Timberlake just revealed in an interview that he is very much willing to do collaboration with Spears. After learning that Spears told fans that she wanted to work with him for a duet, Timberlake replied, “She did? Sure! Absolutely, absolutely.”

Timberlake is happily married with Jessica Biel with one child while Spears is currently single with two kids. With this, the said conspiracy theory could be ridiculous. But who knows?
