"Lucifer" Season 2 just kicked off last Monday and fans were not wrong in anticipating its return, as it delivered quite a good start. In fact, it was so good that the network even released a sneak peek of the next episode titled, "Liar, Liar, Slutty Dress on Fire."

"Lucifer" Season 2 Episode 1 Recap

To recall, Charlotte a.k.a. "Mum from hell," has made her way to Earth, following her escape from the Gates if Hell. The episode kicks off with Lucifer and Amenadiel in a jewelry heist where they think the leader is their mom in disguise. Unfortunately, the brothers were wrong. Amenadiel then suggests that maybe she's not in L.A. after all, but Lucifer isn't convinced.

Moving on, Chloe informed Lucifer that she's eager to find out the truth by testing a blood sample. He agrees of the idea but Amenadiel thinks otherwise. This prompted Amenadiel to sneak into the cop shop to pinch a blood sample.

Eventually, Amenadiel convinced Chloe that they had a rough childhood and Lucifer created his "Devil" persona as a way of coping, and that his "power" is merely one "of suggestion."

Meanwhile, Maze resurfaced midway through the hour, without clearly indicating her disappearing act. She was surprised to hear that Charlotte is now walking among them, but promised Lucifer that she will never assist her former prisoner.

The episode ended with Charlotte suddenly showing up at the door, covered in blood and gasped "Help... me..."

In "Lucifer" Season 2 Episode 2, Maze was asked by Lucifer to watch over Charlotte following the incidents in the previous episode. However, Charlotte is not an easy person to handle. Will Maze be able to deal with her successfully?

Meanwhile, episode 2 will not air on Monday as it gives way to the Presidential Debate between Democrat nominee Hilary Clinton and Republican candidate Donald Trump.

"Lucifer" Season 2 Episode 2 will return following a week break on Monday, October 3.
