Pattinson, 30, has been in a relationship with singer/songwriter and dancer FKA Twigs since 2014. The couple allegedly called it quits late July and recently, rumors have surfaced that the real reason behind the alleged break up is because the British actor came out as gay.

However, Pink News UK reports that the misinformation was the fault of hoax viral news makers that are in for the money. Times of Education, one of the mentioned hoax sites, published the headline "Twilight Star Robert Pattinson Finally Comes Out As Gay," with the description, "Sorry ladies, another cute movie star has yet again turned out to be gay."

The site further claimed that they were able to confirm the shocking news through an exclusive interview with the actor who they quoted of admitting "a secret holiday romance with 31-year-old model Brad Owens."

The news circulated around social network sites and gained over 7,000 likes and shares on Facebook. A thousand comments carried many discussions and reactions from fans and entertainment news watchers alike.

It can be recalled that Pattinson has been previously linked to actress Kristen Stewart who is his co-star in the hit movie series "Twilight." After their controversial split, the actor moved on and found love with English singer, songwriter and producer FK Twigs. Just recently, Pattinson was involved in a rumored romance with "Damsel" co-star Mia Wasikowska. Their chemistry brought a lot of fan speculations that the Pattinson-Twigs engagement will soon be over, as reported by Hollywood Life.

However, reports say there is still no concrete evidence that R-Patz and FK Twigs have broken up. The public eye has just not been seeing Twigs with fiancé Pattinson these days.
