"Fast 8" cast and crew are thinking of not just bringing back Brian O'Connor, played by Paul Walker, in the movie but even giving him a fight scene with Vin Diesel. The late actor's brothers, Cody and Caleb, confirms Paul's participation in the movie.
"I had a phone call with Vin for about an hour and we really discussed this a while back. He wanted blessing," Diesel asked if it would be acceptable if they "bring Paul's character back... to really kind of let his fans know he's still out there." Caleb said.
Cody adds "Universal wants to make sure to be respectful of Paul and his image too, and his family,"
"Fast 8" is scheduled to hit the big screen on April 14, 2017, but its full-length trailer is said to debut in December 2016.
It can be remembered that Cody and Caleb were brought into the film of "Fast and Furious 7" to act as body doubles for their brother Paul after his death. The movie was delayed so the story can be rewritten and "retire" Paul's character. Caleb and Cody resemble Paul's face, body built and with the help of a computer generated imagery or CGI, Paul's face replaces the faces of his brothers to finish the remaining scenes for the movie.
Paul William Walker IV is known for his portrayal as Brian O'Connor in the movie "The Fast and the Furious" in 2001 wherein he reprised his role in 6 of the 7 installments of the movie. But aside from acting, Walker was also the founder of "Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW) which is an organization that provides relief assistance to places affected by natural calamities. Unfortunately, Walker passed away in a vehicular accident in 2013 with his friend Roger Rodas. Fast and the Furious 7 soundtrack "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa was made as a tribute to the actor.
