Google Ads For New Pixel Phones Steal Attention Of Passersby All Over New York City

Google is taking a notch up with its ads spread all over New York City reportedly for the upcoming Pixel phones. Although there have been no definite details so far, these massive ads all over the city are squeezing hints that Google is up to announce Pixel and Pixel XL phones on Oct. 4.

Two weeks to go before Google's expected announcement of the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, the Mountain View-based search giant is taking a huge leap in promoting its product. With its enormous billboards spread all over New York City, this aggressive move has been branded by tech sites as an attempt to defy Apple and Samsung's marketing ploys.

The wall-sized billboards across the city were written with "Oct. 4" and "G" logo and a smartphone in between them, and the #MadeByGoogle tag. The same layout was used in invitations that were sent to the press a couple of days ago and in the video teaser shown when Google launched the website MadeByGoogle.com.

According to reports, a more aggressive campaign can be expected once the Pixel and Pixel XL phones are announced next month. With Google going all out this time for its hardware products, it is predicted that the company is up to revealing more products in the future.

Google has just begun pouring out a good amount of money in its advertising for hardware products and many are expecting it will not turn out to be a dismay.

The Pixel lineup is a rebranded line of mobile phones made by Google. In the last two years, Google had remarkably been pouring out extra efforts in promoting the Nexus 6, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X devices.

Meanwhile, a report from New York Post stated that the new Pixel phones will be exclusively distributed by major carrier Verizon Wireless in the United States. This report was first divulged by an Android-dedicated website, which also leaked supposed photos of Pixel and Pixel XL phones on its Twitter account.

Google Pixel is expected to sell for $649 while the bigger version is more expensive. The Pixel lineup already has the Pixel C table and Pixel Chromebook laptop.
