‘Fallen' Movie Trailer Released; US Premiere Depends On Fans; Could It Be The Next 'Twilight?'

The long wait is over! Lauren Kate's hit novel "Fallen" finally released its first movie adaptation trailer. And fans seem to have a big role for the said flick.

According to reports, Relatively Studio's Ryan Kavanaugh encouraged fans to retweet the trailer in order to gauge the demand for the film and to push a US release date. As of this writing, "Fallen" has no official premiere date in the US yet and will initially launch in Singapore and Thailand this November.

"Fallen" is the first book from Lauren Kate's book series. It is a YA romance-fantasy that follows the story of a 17-year-old girl named Luce Price (Addison Timlin), who is sent to Sword & Cross reform school following a crime she didn't commit.

In her stay at the said boarding school, she met Daniel Grigori (Jeremy Irvine) and Cam Briel (Harrison Gilbertson), to whom she feels inexplicably drawn to.

Haunted by strange visions, Luce eventually unveils the secrets of her past and discovers that Daniel and Cam are fallen angels, competing for her heart for centuries. Her choice won't just determine her own happiness but also the fate of Heaven and Hell.

Expectedly, the performance of "Fallen" in the box office will play a key role as to whether the three remaining books in the series will also get a movie adaptation. "Fallen" is followed by "Torment," "Passion,"and "Rupture" respectively. The said series will dig deeper into Luce's past with new characters and twists along the way.

Meanwhile, many fans speculate that "Fallen" is going to be the next "Twilight." With its unnatural characters and love story, it is inevitable that the two will be in comparison. Will "Fallen" match "Twilight's" massive success? Fans will have to wait and see for themselves.
