'Pokemon Go' Tips And Tricks: Where To Find All The Pokemon Types

Today, we will tackle a list of each Pokemon type and tips on where to catch them in Pokemon Go. It is important to note that not all Pokemon can be obtained by catching them in the wild.

Some of can only be available via evolution but rest assured that you can catch all the unevolved ones. Are you having a hard time spotting that particular Pokemon? This article might help you.

Normal-Type

These Pokemon are easy to find as they are available everyowhere, hence the term 'normal'. There are 22 normal type Pokemon in Pokemon Go, these are: Chansey, Ditto, Dodrio, Doduo, Eevee, Farfetch'd, Fearow, Jigglypuff, Kangaskhan, Lickitung, Meowth, Persian, Pidgeot, Pidgeotto, Pidgey, Porygon, Raticate, Rattata, Snorlax, Spearow, Tauros, and Wigglytuff.

Fire-Type 

These are available in supposedly warm places like the beach, parks, and deserts. In Pokemon Go, you will spot them in neighborhoods and residential areas, and they'll be more common in warmer places - be that places that have a naturally more dry climate or on the sand at the beach.
There are 12 fire type Pokemon in Pokemon Go: Arcanine, Charizard, Charmander, Charmeleon, Flareon, Growlithe, Magmar, Moltres, Ninetales, Ponyta, Rapidash, and Vulpix.

Water-Type 

Pokemon mostly found near waters like the beach, some pond, rivers and oceans. Placing lure on Pokestops near water will also lure water Pokemon. There are 32 water type Pokemon in in Pokemon Go. These would be: Blastoise, Cloyster, Dewgong, Goldeen, Golduck, Gyarados, Horsea, Kabuto, Kabutops, Kingler, Krabby, Lapras, Magikarp, Omanyte, Omastar, Poliwag, Poliwhirl, Poliwrath, Psyduck, Seadra, Seaking, Seel, Shellder, Slowbro, Slowpoke, Squirtle, Starmie, Staryu, Tentacool, Tentacruel, Vaporeon, and Wartortle.


Grass/Bug-Type 

These can be caught mainly in Forests, Parks, Forests, Mountainsides, or Backyards. These Pokemon are also common on golf courses. There are 24 Grass/bug type Pokemon in Pokemon Go. These are Beedrill, Bellsprout, Bulbasaur, Butterfree, Caterpie, Exeggcute, Exeggutor, Gloom, Ivysaur, Kakuna, Metapod, Oddish, Paras, Parasect, Pinsir. Scyther Tangela, Venomoth, Venonat, Venusaur, Victreebell, Vileplume, Weedle, and Weepinbell.
As noted, some can only be acquired via evolution.


Ground/Rock-Type 

These Pokemon are available at towns, parking lots, quarries, train stations, highways, and establishments like shopping malls.
There are 19 ground/rock type Pokemon in Pokemon Go, which includes: Aerodactyl, Cubone, Diglett, Dugtrio, Geodude, Golem, Graveler, Kabuto, Kabutops Marowak, Nidoking. Nidoqueen, Omanyte, Omastar, Onix, Rhydon, Rhyhorn, Sandshrew, and Sandslash.
As always, some are only available by evolving.

Electric-Type 

Found at schools, industrial parks, college campuses, large places that are concrete all-over, and Power Plants concreted over.
There are 9 electric type Pokemon Pokemon Go, these: Electabuzz, Electrode, Jolteon, Magnemite, Magneton, Pikachu, Raichu, Voltorb, and Zapdos.

Poison-Type

Can be spotted on 'wetlands' such as ponds, lakes, etc. They occasionally appear on industrial areas and buildings.
There are 33 poison-type Pokemon in Pokemon Go: Arbok, Beedrill, Bellsprout, Bulbasaur, Ekans, Gastly, Gengar, Gloom, Golbat, Grimer, Haunter, Ivysaur, Kakuna, Koffing, Muk, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Nidoran (Male and Female), Nidorina, Nidorino, Oddish, Tentacool, Tentacruel, Venomoth, Venonat, Venusaur, Victreebel, Vileplume, Weedle, Weepinbel, Weezing, and Zubat.

Fairy-Type

Known to be curious, they can be found in interesting places such as landmarks and churches. Also near Pokestops.
There are 5 fairy type Pokemon in Pokemon Go: Clefable, Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Mr. Mime, and Wigglytuff. Clefable and Wigglytuff can only be obtained by evolving.

Flying-Type

Are Available at forests, woods, farmland, and grassy areas such as playgrounds, nature reserves, parks, gardens and maybe your backyard!
There are 19 flying type Pokemon in Pokemon Go: Aerodactyl, Articuno, Butterfree, Charizard, Dodrio, Doduo, Dragonite, Farfetch'd, Fearow, Golbat, Gyarados, Moltres, Pidgeot, Pidgeotto, Pidgey, Scyther, Spearow, Zapdos, and Zubat.

Dragon-Type 

Like the fairy type, these are available at Places of Interest such as churches, famous areas, landmarks, and PokeStops.
There are only 3 dragon type Pokemon in Pokemon Go: Dragonair, Dragonite, and Dratini.

Ghost-Type

Available at residential areas and parking lots, mostly at night. There are only 3 ghost types Pokemon Go: Gastly, Gengar, and Haunter.

Ice-type

Available near water and grassy areas expected to come out as 'common' during cold seasons. There are 5 ice types in Pokemon Go: Articuno, Cloyster, Dewgong, Jynx, and Lapras.

Psychic-Type

These are found in hospitals, also mostly found in residential and down-town areas during afternoon to night. There are 14 psychic type Pokemon in Pokemon Go, including Abra, Alakazam, Drowzee, Exeggcute, Exeggutor, Hypno, Jynx, Kadabra, Mew, Mewtwo, Mr. Mime, Slowbrow, and Slowpoke.

Steel-Type

These are either inside or around rather large building structures. Also in on railway stations and railway tracks but please be careful. There are only 2 steel type Pokemon in Pokemon Go: Magnemite and Magneton.
