Three days after "Empire" season 3 aired, rapper 50 Cent took to Instagram what he thinks about the show and Cookie Lyons (Taraji P. Henson) ain't taking any of it.
Rapper turned producer 50 Cent shared a screenshot of Taraji P. Henson with a caption claiming that "Empire" has dropped from the ratings. "Well look at the bright side at least. You can eat your trophies," he wrote in his now deleted Instagram post according to E! News. "I was talking to old girl but you felt like you had to respond. SMH you know I love you cookie. I got a new show for you BMF COMING SOON !!!#EFFENVODKA."
"BMF: Black Mafia Family" is a new series that 50 Cent is developing for Starz after the success of his show "Power" which follows the story of a nightclub owner and drug kingpin who wanted to be legit.
However, Taraji P. Henson, like her fierce "Empire" character, Cookie Lyons, saw the post and slammed 50 Cent with her own screen grab on her Instagram that says her show remains the No. 1 scripted show on broadcast TV.
She also captioned the screen grab with, "For the confused ppl. Do REAL research!!! Loose change makes sooooooo much UNNECESSARY NOISE. STILL LOOKING FOR THAT DAMN CENT SIGN!!! I guess it's obsolete. AGAIN CONGRATS ON YOUR SUCCESS BLACK MAN!!! @50cent"
50 Cent, took again to Instagram to respond to Taraji's post.
"All this back and forth s--t is starting to turning me on cookie, LMAO I ran into Lee Daniels at the gym on Sunset Blvd. he asked why I didn't except his offer to be on EMPIRE. I told him I have a lot going on, I'm actually working on the show FOX is gonna replace EMPIRE with," he wrote in his now deleted post.
Fans and other "Empire" cast members are taking on Taraji's side and most of them think that 50 Cent was being too childish. Even "Empire" co-star Jussie Smollet wrote in a now deleted post, "I've always taken the high road when you've said our show was too gay, was stealing the word 'power' in our marketing from your show, or was too whatever you felt like saying at the moment...But now you're messing with @TarajiPHenson."
Take if from the fans of the show 50 Cent, you don't mess with Cookie.
"Empire" season 3 airs every Wednesday night at 9pm.
