It has been months since Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson were seen solving crimes and mysteries in London. However, the wait is now getting shorter as the upcoming episodes were already teased with titles, and set to premiere on the early part of 2017.

How Will Moriarty Be Placed In The "Sherlock" Season 4 Storyline If He Had Already Died?

During the last season's finale, it was teased that Moriarty could possibly resurrect form the dead. However, it is highly unlikely that it will happen; hence, he rather just left his plans to be continued by others upon his death. Since he is set to reportedly appear in the upcoming season four of "Sherlock," it is speculated that it will be just to haunt Sherlock as a ghost.

Moriarty's appearance in the fourth season of "Sherlock" has not yet been confirmed, however haunting Sherlock is the only plot that would make sense of his role in the upcoming season. There will be a new villain to appear in the upcoming season to be entitled "The Adventure of the Dying Detective."

Titles For The First Two Episodes Of "Sherlock" Season 4 Revealed

There are reportedly three episodes set to be released on early 2017, and the titles of the first two have already been teased by BBC online. The first episode is going to be entitled "The Six Thatchers" which reportedly verifies the keyword "Thatcher" that was revealed during the San Diego Comic Con early this year. The second episode on the other hand is going to be entitled "The Lying Detective" that is reportedly in reference to the story of the same title by Arthur Conan Doyle where a certain Culverton Smith attempts to murder Sherlock Holmes.

The third episode title however was not yet revealed to the fans. However, on the better note, there have been allegations claiming that the first episode of "Sherlock" season 4 will be released on New Year's Day of 2017, to welcome the year with a blast of mysteries.

There are a lot of theories and probabilities on the upcoming twists and turns for the fourth season of "Sherlock," and the fans will have to wait for the official announcement of its premiere date next year.
