Aside from being the famous rapper that he is and dating singer Rihanna, Drake just recently released his short film entitled "Please Forgive Me."
Drake's Short Film "Please Forgive Me" Released Earlier Than Expected; Now Available
Originally, Drake's short film was intended to be released on September 30, 2016 as officially announced. However, it came a few days early much to the fans excitement, as they have been anticipating for this short film since it was announced.
The short film entitled "Please Forgive Me" is a 23-minute long action-packed film, featuring a bloody Drake among others who are also in the video. Reports have claimed that the short film is a combination of "The Bourne Identity," "Indecent Proposal" and "Taken." Aside from Drake himself, other stars such as Kyla Reid, Fanny Neguesha, Popcaan among others were also featured.
The film tackles the broadness of life itself, set in a world that is full of money, sex and violence which are very sensitive topics in the country these days. The short film is inspired from his latest album, "Views" and even covered seven of the tracks in it.
"Please Forgive Me" Inspired By Drake's Latest Album "Views"
The short film is exclusively available on Apple Music and is reportedly going to remain to their availability for the time being. The film was directed by Anthony Mandler, who has directed several of Drake's music videos and some other famous artists as well. The story was also co-written and produced by Mandler alongside Larry Jackson, who is the Head of Content for Apple Music.
Reports have claimed that Drake's short film "Please Forgive Me" was shot only in one week in a town in Johannesburg, South Africa. It was filmed last July. Given that the short film is inspired from his latest album "Views," it has just been the second video released in reference to it. The other one is the music video of his song "Child's Play," and nothing other than that. Even though his song "One Dance" has been hitting the billboard charts lately, even that doesn't have an official music video to it yet.
The short film cannot be found in Youtube and is only available at Apple Music exclusive.
