Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls/Bony Spirits, Rumors, Spoilers, Review

Yo-Kai Watch 2 returns with better features than its predecessor.

Yo-Kai Watch is a role playing video game and it is widely considered as Pokemons twin. Yo-Kai Watch or Youkai Watch and Yokai Watch is a popular game in Japan and US is trying to catch up following the release of its first installment last fall. Gameplay and approach is similar with Pokemon.

Yo-Kai watch 2 has split its game into two different entries which is relative to its sequel. First one is known as Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits and the other one is Fleshy Souls in the West.
The game somehow not only resembles Pokemon, but games such as The Legend of Zelda series and even Mario Bros. Series. It brings a nostalgic, drippy wistful feeling while you're playing the game. Yo-Kai characters or creatures can be considered as a pet. They look like one, act like one but definitely will destroy you if they have to.

Since this is a sequel, it directly follows up on the story of the previous game. However, Yo-Kai Watch 2 made a different approach by almost making the game look like a reboot. At the beginning, you have to chooses the main character, could be a boy or girl.

After creating or choosing your main character, an opening segment will show you where their memory is restored. You will then come across with your faithful companions namely Whisper and Jibanyan. Both were actually introduced on the first installment of the game.

Combat play demands is much better as it puts more attention this time around, thanks to the debuffing capabilities of your enemies. The only way to stop the attack is to ‘purify' your Yo-Kai. It is a simple game with a simple concept which highly targets young audiences.
