'Murder On The Orient Express' Cast Update: Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley, Judi Dench And More Join Powerhouse Cast

More A-list actors have been confirmed to join "Murder on the Orient Express" ensemble cast. This film adaptation of the 1934 Agatha Christie novel has so far gathered some of the biggest stars in Hollywood including Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley, Judi Dench, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Michael Pena to outshine Sidney Lumet's 1974 version.

Lumet's version has made a mark in mystery-thriller-drama filmmaking as its creation was a star-studded affair, which featured then big stars including Albert Finney, Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman, Jacqueline Bisset, Sean Connery, Anthony Perkins, and Vanessa Redgrave.

Lucy Boynton, Tom Bateman, Derek Jacobi, and Leslie Odom Jr. are reportedly joining the cast as well. Kenneth Branagh will direct and also star in the movie as detective Hercule Poirot. Recent reports revealed Angelina Jolie was in negotiations in June to also star in the film, but has since disapproved of a role in the remake.
