Kim Kardashian Held At Gunpoint; Robbed With Millions Worth of Jewelries

Just this Sunday, singer Kanye West abruptly cut short a performance at the Meadows Festival held in Queens, New York City. West immediately apologized and reasoned out that it was due to a family emergency. Few hours later, it was then reported that the family emergency was actually a terrifying incident that involved his wife, Kim Kardashian.

Kim Kardashian West is an influential businesswoman, socialite, and model. She became a household name, thanks to her family's infamous reality TV show, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." Over the weekend, while West was at the Meadows Festival, Kim Kardashian was in Paris attending Fashion Week with family and friends.

She was staying at an inconspicuous luxurious apartment located in the Eighth Arrondissement. After attending the said event, she went back to her apartment with her bodyguard. Somehow, Kardashian was left alone in the apartment when two unidentified men disguised as policemen busted in, held her at gunpoint, and tied her up in her bathroom.

The two assailants escaped with three accomplices after robbing Kardashian. Accroding to reports, several valuables were stolen from the star including mobile phones, wallets with credit cards inside and a box of jewelries that summed up to an amount of $9 million. Among the stolen jewelries, a ring alone was worth about $4 million.

Kardashian's spokeswoman stated that the celebrity is "badly shaken but physically unharmed". The attack on Kardashian has alarmed local authorities and has eventually turned into a political matter, shaking up France's security even more. Luc Poignant, spokesperson for the police officer's union, said that the masked assailants targeted Kardashian and even tied up the receptionist of the building she was staying at. Three of the robbers escaped on foot as the other two were on bikes.

Kardashian's family was immediately placed under police protection after the unfortunate incident while Kim Kardashian has given her statement to the police before she left for New York City.
