Nimbix Partners With Nvidia And IBM To Launch High-Performance GPU For Cloud Computing
The high-performance computing cloud platform provider Nimbix is looking to take advantage of the trend of analytics increasingly moving to the cloud with a high-performance computing (HPC) solution that integrates IBM's Power Systems S822LC featuring NVIDIA Pascal GPUs.
Nimbix Collaborates With IBM And Nvidia
Data scientists and developers will have even more compute power available in the cloud, due to Nimbix's new HPC cloud solution. According to CBR Online, the IBM Power Systems offering was developed from the OpenPOWER Foundation and is specially designed for HPC. This cloud solution focuses on cognitive computing, artificial intelligence and deep learning.
The IBM POWER8 CPU is combined at the silicon level with the NVIDIA NVLink processor and NVIDIA Tesla technology with an aim to increase incorporation into the overall system design. According to Nimbix, this technology design will allow data to flow five times faster than on a comparable offering. The company also said that this solution is offered to data scientists, researchers and engineers to help them leverage optimized workloads.
Vice President of High-Performance Computing and Data Analytics at IBM Sumit Gupta said that workloads emerging today such as accelerated databases, artificial intelligence, deep learning and high-performance data analytics require computing at incredible speed achieved through accelerated computing. Tesla Product Lead at Nvidia Roy Kim said that the Nimbix cloud platform provides scalable, on-demand compute resources for researchers and scientists to deliver significantly faster results.
Nimbix Company Profile
Nimbix CEO Steve Hebert said that the company is pleased to partner with Nvidia and IBM to democratize access to the powerful cloud solution based on a combination of NVLink, POWER and Nimbix PushToCompute. Because AI researchers and scientists demand high performance compute power, there is a significant growth from tech companies that provide capabilities to fulfill those needs.
According to HPC Wire, the Nimbix cloud powered by JARVICE provides world-class data centers and high-performance software as a service. Nimbix's cloud solution can dramatically speed up data processing for Media, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Energy and Analytics applications.
