‘Tokyo Ghoul’ Season 3 Release Date Sooner Than Expected; Anime Reboot In The Works?

It looks like the long wait of the dark fantasy “Tokyo Ghoul” season 3 is coming to an end.

Despite speculations that the series will return next year, the fans will be delighted to know that a 2016 airdate is possible.

A report hinted that the potential release this year is linked to a presumed ongoing production of the Japanese series.

Part of the rumors plotted on the show is Ken Kaneki’s revelation of his true identity. It was previously mentioned that Ken will identify himself as Haise Sasaki, the head of an extraordinary team called “Quinx Squad” who is competent in imitating the special powers of Ghouls so that they can beat them.

However, new details emerge on Ken’s future in the third season. He is believed to have not hidden his real identity and did not pretend as a police investigator in the manga. He lost his memory but will eventually remember everything about him and the world that he lives in.

The previous season "Tokyo Ghoul √A" last year was critically acclaimed and was also slammed because it deviated from the manga storyline.

The new season is expected to strictly follow its original storyline, hence a reboot from Studio Pierrot can be anticipated.

Adding more thrills to the plot is a darker approach in the genre of the show as bloody battles resulting to tragic deaths are likely to occur.

To hypothesize on the main character Ken Kaneki and his fate in the series are inevitable. It’s been more than a year since season 2 of “Tokyo Ghoul” concluded. Hopefully, the showrunners will come up with an official statement about the much awaited third season of the popular Japanese series.

“Tokyo Ghoul” anime tv series is directed by Shuhei Morita and penned by Chūji Mikasano.
