‘Shameless’ Season 7 Cancellation Rumors: Series To End Soon Following Emmy Rossum And Cameron Monaghan’s Departure?

Is it time for “Shameless” to bring down the curtain?

Two main characters of Showtime’s famous show are reportedly making an exit and the series is also rumored to join their departure.

Emmy Rossum who plays Fiona Gallagher, the eldest daughter of the Gallagher clan and Cameron Monaghan as Ian Gallagher, the third of the Gallagher siblings were theorized to leave the black comedy.

Rossum was previously reported of her admission in ending her role in the series. While no specific details were provided as to why she came up with the decision, the strong followers of the show are hopeful that she will stay.

Rossum’s role is crucial to the rest of the Gallaghers. If she will pursue her plan of leaving the soap, her absence will deeply impact the storyline.

Monaghan was presumed by Morning Ledger to depart from the show after filming the seventh season in his desire of shifting to bigger projects in the film industry. He is taking a big slot in a Stephanie Meyer produced YA thriller, “Anna Dressed in Blood” and is set to reprise his critically acclaimed role in “Gotham.”

The actor is consumed with his busy career making his future disappearance from “Shameless” not a surprise anymore.

With the potential departure of both stars, the show might likely conclude as well.

“Wrapping it up in a year or two,” Showrunner Nancy Pimental said.

While no one from the series has not made any official confirmation yet about any possible departure, the viewers still get to enjoy the crazy adventures of the Gallaghers.

“Shameless” is a remake of the British series that highlights the dysfunctional Gallagher family led by an alcoholic father of six (William H. Macy) who invest a bit of his time and attention to his children while her eldest daughter Emmy takes the big responsibility of being the parents of her siblings.
