'Avatar' And 'The Legend Of Korra' Return As A Graphic Novel; Adult Coloring Books Coming Soon

"Avatar" and "The Legend of Korra" are back but this time it's going to be a graphic novel by Dark Horse Comics. One of the big moments of the New York Comic Con is when they revealed the comic book continuation where fans get to have a first look.

According to reports, the latest graphic novel for "The Last Airbender", which is set to be released early next year, will feature stories about the North, South and its alleged internal strife in the water tribe of the south.

As for "The Legend of Korra," The upcoming graphic novel titled "Turf Wars" is reported to be focusing on the adventures of Asami and Korra as they face new threats in the city. According to Michael DiMartino, the show's co-creator, "It's kind of like the aftermath, dealing with the new portal in the city, and all the evacuees coming back to find their homes wiped out cause of the portal." This graphic novel is set to be released June 2017.

The NYCC event also showed the first look in the upcoming graphic novel where Asami and Korra finally got the vacation they have been wanting in the Spirit World, including the popular weird mushrooms and Dragonbirds. And if there is one thing fans should be delighted about the TV series turning into a graphic novel is more scenes about Korra and Asami's romance. In the Q and A session of the event, the panels hinted that the two might just have the freedom to kiss.

Fans are also happy to hear the news that both animated series will also have their own adult coloring books. "Airbender" edition will be available to public before the month ends while fans of "Korra" will have to wait until next July to get it. The audience in the conference were able to get a sample page.
