MacBook Pro 2016 Will Copy Surface Pro's Feature

Apple may have kept quiet about matters involving the MacBook Pro 2016. However, rumors from the suppliers' side of the story continue to fuel the fire about the unconfirmed laptop. What's certain as of now is that Apple has not said anything regarding the MacBook Pro 2016. Nevertheless, this doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

MacBook Pro 2016 News: Hardware To Resemble Surface Pro Devices

With the success of the last Surface devices, rumor has it that Apple will also use the same hinges used by Microsoft. Furthermore, it's not only the hinges that Apple is alleged of 'copying'. According to TechRadar, the MacBook Pro 2016 will feature the hinge mechanism referred to as "metal injection molding", which is pretty much inspired by the Surface Pro devices.

According to the same report, the actual hinges to be used in the MacBook Pro 2016 are also being manufactured by the same Taiwanese manufacturer who made the hinges for the Surface devices. This suggests that Apple's next laptop might definitely look a lot like the Surface, at least in the hinge department. Whether the Apple MacBook Pro 2016 will go hybrid or not, it remains a mystery.

MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date: October 2016 Launch Is Still Likely

According to the source, the said Surface-like hinges have already started shipping four months ago. This means that the alleged October launch of the MacBook Pro 2016 is not yet off the table. Microsoft has recently surprised fans about its October event, Forbes reported. It won't be impossible for Apple to do the same. Besides, Apple and the Surface maker are known to go head-to-head on hardware launches almost every time. Also, Apple is known for its holiday season launch.

So if in any case, October passes without an Apple hardware launch. Then a November event for the MacBook Pro is also thinkable, although the chances for this to occur is very little. Apple is not a stranger to holding a hardware launch on the month of October. A November or December launch, on the other hand, could be rather unlikely.
