AMD RX 490 May Be Released November Or December 2016

AMD's RX 490 is one of the most anticipated products to be released this year. The company hasn't confirmed the graphic card's release date yet. However, the speculations about its 2016 launch is still pretty feasible. While it's hard to make assumptions at this point in time, fans can't help but be excited for the arrival of the AMD RX 490.

AMD RX 490 Release Date

Now that 2016 is almost over, there are only two months left for AMD to release the RX 490. So sticking with the 2016 release rumor, the AMD RX 490 could be launched this November or early December. A 2017 release might have also been a feasible idea, however, AMD has already leaked the RX 490 on its website. They even included the new graphics card in a promo that runs up to December 31 of this year.

This simply suggests that AMD indeed plans on releasing the RX 490 before the year ends. This is an idea that Forbes also happens to believe. A change of mind is still possible, though, but it doesn't seem like AMD will be pushing the RX 490's release date to a further date. It's worth noting that Sapphire has also listed the AMD RX 490 on its website, indicating its imminent release, WCCFTECH reported.

AMD RX 490 News

The argument about whether the AMD RX 490 is Vega-based or Polaris-based remains unanswered. There is also a question of whether it is a dual GPU or not. While each fan has an intelligent opinion about these matters, only AMD has the right answer. However, as of now, the company is still keeping its fans in the dark.

Needless to say, a lot of AMD followers have been waiting for the RX 490's arrival. Some of them might have even held back their purchase of a different GPU in the hopes that the RX 490 will be arriving soon. Luckily now, there are only about two months left this year. So if AMD is indeed sticking to a 2016 RX 490 release, then it looks like the waiting game is about to end.
