The Vampire Diaries Finale: Spoilers, Damon's Death, Dobrev Returns?

"This is the last time, that I'm ever gonna come here tonight. This is the last time I will fall, into a place that fails us all inside." A perfectly match song by Dishwalla for the season and series finale of The Vampire Diaries.

The Vampire Diaries first aired last 2009 and it is about to end this October 21, 2016. The CW original series who just released its season 8 confirmed that this will be the last season for them. The Vampire Diaries latest 8 seasons; which is still a great accomplishment as TV series don't normally last that long.

Like any other shows, The Vampire Diaries shares some ups and downs during its 8-year reign. Despite all the criticisms from critically acclaimed websites, we will surely miss watching the charismatic vampire brothers Damon, who is played by Ian Somerhalder and Stefan, portrayed by Paul Wesley. Also, we will miss the stunning Bulgarian-Canadian actress/model Nina Dobrev who shows off her flexibility in acting.

The last season of the show will focus on searching for Damon and Enzo. An exclusive sneak peek was provided and it shows that the brothers are being possessed by an evil spirit. It was not discussed on who the spirit was but here's the excerpt on that scene.

"This is it. This is the beginning of the end," Damon (Ian Somerhalder) says with his trademark smirk. "You can't save me," he tells his brother.

Enzo who is played by Michael Malarkey shows concern for his friends as the force has overtaken them. When does this end? How many more bodies until you're full," asks Enzo in desperation.

Stefan (Paul Wesley), Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Caroline Candice King) are also visible on the trailer. Bonnie tries to communicate with Stefan and Caroline stating "whatever we need to do, I'm in," as they try to help Damon survive his last ordeal.
