Celebrity couple Liam Payne and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has been the subject of controversy lately, as the singer has been speculated to be pregnant. However, fans seem to be unhappy about the supposed good news for the couple.
According to reports, the "Call My Name" singer and One Direction member might be expecting their first child after a photo of Cheryl surfaced online which appeared to expose what looks like a baby bump. The said rumor even intensified when Liam Payne changed his Twitter bio to "The luckiest man on earth," which led to speculations that he is indeed having a baby with Cheryl soon.
However, despite the supposed good news for the couple, fans of the One Direction heartthrob were not happy about it. The "Crazy Stupid Love" singer was bashed by Liam Payne's fans, saying she should've just announced that she's pregnant since it's too obvious than flaunting it and leave everyone guessing. The bashing went as far as Cheryl disabling the comments section of her Instagram account.
Following the mean reactions of Liam Payne's fans, Cheryl then shared an image in honor of World Mental Health Day which shows a hand with words written on it while holding a small piece of paper reading: "If the words you spoke appeared on your skin... Would you still be beautiful?" Surprisingly, Cheryl let fans post comments on the said snap, opposite to what she did in her recent photos that sparked baby rumors. Many believe that Cheryl's message in the said photo is intended for One Direction's fans who bashed her recently.
One Direction fans were very vocal about their disapproval of Liam Payne and Cheryl's relationship from the start pointing out the age gap between the two. Liam Payne is 10 years younger than Cheryl, 33, who is currently in a divorce battle with estranged husband, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.
Meanwhile, Cheryl's mother, Joan, was allegedly seen shopping in Newcastle's Mothercare buying pregnancy pillows and a bump wedge. This adds fuel to speculations of her daughter's pregnancy. According to reports, a source claimed that Cheryl has never been more determined to have a baby saying, "Cheryl's never been more determined to have a baby. It's like it's the only thing in the world that matters to her. She's never been so focused on something,"
The same source also revealed that Liam Payne was asking former bandmate Louis Tomlinson, who is already a dad himself, about tips on becoming a father. There were also claims that a nursery has been set up already in preparation for their little bundle of joy.
So far, the couple has not directly confirmed or denied the said pregnancy rumors.
