'Dragon Ball Xenoverse' 2 News, Update: What To Expect Before The Oct. 25 Release on PlayStation 4 & Xbox One

Barely two weeks before "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" debuts on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, excited fans have a lot to expect from Dimps and Bandai Namco. For one, creative minds behind "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" teased tweaks in the game's stoyline. Plus, the second installment brings a lot of additions as well including new characters, entry to Conton City and the comeback of well-loved customization options.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" definitely has a lot to offer as Dimps was able to morph this game into something bigger than its predecessor. The release of its beta version has revealed that players will have the privilege to engineer a character of their own and change the way history runs.

Dimps and Bandai Namco's early Halloween treat does not stop there though as "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will also feature new characters, Conton City, new customizations for characters, new battlegrounds, new modes and new quests.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" Has 87-Set Characters

If reports are true after all, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will have a total of 87 sets of characters. This number first broke out after the same number of slots were seen in the demo build. However, this has to be confirmed yet. As of this time, there are already 77 characters confirmed for play. Eleven new and returning faces and 66 from the previous installment.

The new additions to "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" include Majin Vegeta, Goku Black, Future Trunks, Imperfect Cell, Turles, Super Janemba, Android 17, Zarbon, Lord Slug and Dodoria. As the beta version of the game has been released, these new and returning characters boast different fighting styles.

Nevertheless, Goku Black will only be available for free in pre-order but still purchasable as DLC if the game is not pre-ordered. Meta-Cooler, on the other hand, was seen in the game's trailer and thus is expected to be included in the roster.

Welcome To Conton City!

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" moves to a new hub: Conton City. This location is pretty huge. In fact, it is designed seven times larger than Toki Toki City. For the record, it can hold up to 300 online gamers at the same time in one server.

In Conton City, players will enjoy new quests and new battlegrounds. Battle stages include Wasteland, Tree of Might, Supreme Kai's Planet, Planet Namek and Cell Games Arena, among many others. Stores will also be opened for shoppers. "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be available Oct. 25 on Playstation 4 and Xbox One, and Oct. 28 on Steam.
