Former Disney Princess Selena Gomez On Rehab - Battling Anxiety, Depression, And Lupus

Selena Gomez has been staying out of the spotlight lately and it is actually the best move necessary for her to recover.

Ever since she announced on her Twitter page that she will be on a vacation, the former Disney princess seems to enjoy her hiatus. Gomez is in Tennessee for almost a week right now as he try to battle against anxiety, depression, and her recovery from lupus.

Anxiety and depression is not a joke. We've seen a lot of people getting destroyed by this and ultimately killing themselves. Depression can be gained by stress and over fatigue. Selena Gomez has been touring lately, doing a lot of interviews and side projects which led to her depression. Adding to that impression is her recovery with lupus.

So what did she do? When she noticed that something is wrong she sought immediate assistance. She was advised to take some rest as her body is not coping up with her activities already. Also, according to the reports, the depression is visible in her eyes in the past weeks. Gomez was spotted on a local arcade near the rehab facility and she looks better. She appeared to be more relaxed and the smile on her eyes is back.

The cancelation of the tour might have upset the fans but most of them understood her situation. She knew that she has to take care of her body or her body will turn against her. Here's her statement to her fans prior to going to rehab. 'As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,' Selena said.

"I've discovered that anxiety, panic attacks, and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues."
