Pokemon Go Update: New Tracking Feature Release Date Still Questionable

Niantic representative recently revealed that a new tracking feature for Pokemon Go is under way. Apparently, it is still on its testing phase with no exact date of release as to when will it be available for worldwide release. As previously reported, a new type tracker was leaked and that is geo-locked at San Francisco. However, there are no further details regarding the new "Nearby" tracker.

According to Heavy, people are still wondering if the new type of feature will ever be released to everyone. Based on the leaked videos, the new tracker appeared to give satisfying results. If the new tracker will be added, players can now track Pokemon that are located at nearby PokeStops making the tracking process a lot easier. Niantic has released several Pokemon Go updates already while players are hoping that the new tracker feature will be added, but it failed. The report also added that even though the code for the "Nearby" tracker is there, players cannot use it unless they are in San Francisco. It is very unfortunate that the "Nearby" tracker will not be happening anytime soon.

Based on the reports from Pokemon Go Hub, players coming from the northern part of the world expressed their disappointment regarding how Niantic managed the game. They felt that they have been deprived by the company and cannot play the game as it is intended to be played. In addition, winter is coming to those places and without a stable tracking system, no one can just go out and wander around aimlessly in the cold.

Players are still hopeful that Niantic will start to attend to the concerns of their fan base. As reported, the number of active members on their community started to decline. If Niantic is really concerned about the future of Pokemon Go, they need to be more open to their players and offer an agreement that will benefit both parties. By that, it would bring a more harmonious gaming environment that every gamer dreams of.
