Three "The Price Is Right" contestants on Monday along with the audience and home viewers were treated to a very big surprise. One of the rarest events happened at the Showcase Showdown when all three contestants were able to hit the $1 dollar mark, one after the other.

Even after 40 long years on the airwaves, "The Price Is Right" is still dishing out amazing surprises. What happened was one of the most unlikely occurrences in the long history of the show. Carey Uttered His Prophecy And It Was Fulfilled

As soon as the second contestant hit the $1 mark, Drew Carey, host of "The Price Is Right" uttered a prophecy. He said: "Let's have a three-way tie on the dollar," speaking to the third contestant. And only seconds later, his words became true - amidst the thunderous applause from the studio audience, and most probably from those watching on their home TVs as well.

All three won $1,000 each and were jumping and shouting and clapping their hands with joy. The audience was equally happy with the surprise, for this event rarely happens on any game show, much less "The Price Is Right."

The game show is now in its 45th year and this event has rarely occurred. Perhaps this is just the first time. But it is probable that this will not be the last. A lot really depends on the luck of a person. What is most surprising is that it appears that the three contestants, Cathryn, Manfred, and Jessica were all equally lucky on Monday's show.
