To Celebrate Eminem's Birthday, Here's His Top 5 Songs According To Music Sales

The Rap god just turned 44 and he has got no plans of slowing down. Marshall Bruce Mathers III, Slim Shady or Eminem is plainly a musical genius that everyone should adore.

The Detroit native started his career with doing underground battle rap in his beloved Motown. Then the rest was history as they say. When Eminem met Dr. Dre, there were some doubts that the experiment won't work out since Dr. Dre is black, and Eminem is white and says he couldn't rap.

But, it was perfect match since they were able to capture both communities and eventually listened to the talented rapper. Eminem already released a lot of albums and songs and almost all of them are chart toppers. Listing down Eminem's top songs will be hard since he has more than 20 of them. And another album is actually on its way.

We will however, feature the top 5 songs of Eminem based on record sales and popularity. This won't be easy as it is like comparing who is your favorite child in your family. I hope I won't miss any of his singles so here's my list.

1.Lose Yourself

The realest song on his arsenal. Lose Yourself is the number one on our list and we have a lot of reasons why. First, it is on top when it comes to record sales for a song. Second, It won a Grammy for best natural song or rap song. Third, it was the official track of the movie 8 Mile and lastly, the song depicts the life of Rap God himself, Eminem. The beat, the lyrics, the poetry and the ‘it' factor in one song is such a thing of beauty.

2.Stan

On my book, this song shows the versatility of Eminem. The storytelling is off that charts and he backed it up with a catchy lyrics with Dido. The song is about a die hard fan who is willing to do anything just to meet its idol. In the event of being obsessed, the fan forgets how beautiful life is and there are things outside their idol. It was also beautiful in a way that Eminem was able to thank his fans while trying to advice them not to surround their life with what their idols look like.

3.Not Afraid

That one song that keeps you pump up when you are about to question yourself and quit. The song perfectly describes how Eminem fought tooth and nail just to get where he is right now. He then implies to its fans that there are brighter days ahead of us. On his lyrics you can tell that he's trying to reach us out and constantly saying don't give up.

4. When I'm Gone

Eminem can rap on almost any given topic. But this song is special as it was written with pure raw emotions. Eminem who isn't quite a fan of sharing his daughter's life eventually made a story out of this song. I don't enjoy many rap songs before but this just hits me. It showed why Eminem is a force to be reckoned with because he can make you cry with its sick verse and lines.

5.Sing For The Moment

This song made my top 5 list because for two entire reasons only. One, like any other songs of Eminem it made top of the charts. Two, it talks about living the life to the fullest. Eminem might be considered as the Rap God but he doesn't forget where he came from. He appreciates all the things that he has because he experienced the life of not having any.
