Overwatch PTR Update: Game Designer Tells Upcoming PTR -'Different'; Sombra Related?

Overwatch will soon have a new PTR coming soon. One of its game designer said that the upcoming PTR will be different but Sombra fans hope that their favorite character will be included.

Official Overwatch PTR Announcement

Overwatch designer Geoff Goodman announced recently that the upcoming PTR will be different than the previous, according to Battlenet forum. It will also be a lot longer than usual. He mentioned that they want to try out various stuffs that mostly involve the heroes and various iterations in the game.

Not All Overwatch PTR Features Included

He cautioned though that some of the PTR changes may not be included in the game. It is presumed that Blizzard will take note of Overwatch players' feedback when it comes to retaining or discarding a feature introduced in the PTR.

Overwatch PTR - Symmetra Unchanged

Symmetra however, will not have any significant changes in the upcoming PTR. Goodman explained that changes in Symmetra's build are quite "significant" and it's taking longer than they had anticipated.

Overwatch PTR Release Date

Unfortunately, the game designer could not give an exact date as to when PTR will be online. He did give a time frame that the PTR may be up before the end of the week.

Overwatch PTR Will Reveal Sombra?

Sombra ARG investigators are hoping that the PTR will include Sombra or at least a reveal on that date. The Sombra website counter has finished its countdown recently but the 23rf character for Overwatch was a no-show. Maybe she will make an appearance even briefly in the upcoming PTR.

Further Sombra clues have also been dropped by Blizzard, according to Forbes. However, many believed that the clues are pointing to a Sombra reveal in the upcoming 2016 Blizzcon event on November. The Sombra hype initially excited the Overwatch community. But more than two months of Blizzard teasing about the character has worn down many Sombra ARG players.
