Nintendo Switch Controller Confirmed To Be A Joy-Con; Features Multiple Configurations

Nintendo has just announced its latest console today called Nintendo Switch. Reports said that it is a mix of both home games console and a portable one. Nintendo Switch enables users to remove a mobile screen and take it on the go. However, this screen is not the only moveable part. As part of the announcement, its controllers can also be relocated as well.

According to Game Rant, it has been recently confirmed that these controllers are called Joy-Cons, There are a lot of ways the Joy-Cons can be used. This includes the use of Switch's portable version where it features two analogue sticks, a D-pad and A, B, X, Y buttons on the go. In addition, a player will be able to the Joy-Cons on both hands. As seen on the announcement trailer featuring the Kart gameplay, both players can use the Joy-Cons while playing with each other. It was also said that multiple Joy-Cons can be used in multiplayer. However, details are still unclear regarding its limit.

Based on the report, many fans have praised Nintendo for its new console. Nintendo Switch also offers a great benefit to the fans since they will not go out and buy an extra controller in order to play a multiplayer LAN game. Though, Joy-Cons physical appearance are not ornamental compared to Xbox One controllers. But given the fact that it is rotatable and can be used on many ways gives it an edge to the gamers.

Additionally, Joy-Grip accessory will also arrive for Nintendo Switch. It was designed to fit perfectly with the Joy-Cons. The Joy-Grip was also seen on the Mario Kart gameplay. However, the looks of the controller seems to be a different controller setup. More importantly, it works the same. Additional details regarding the pricing of this new accessory is not yet announced. Some people expect it to come with Joy-Cons as a part of the package deal or it will just be sold separately.

Nintendo Switch is scheduled for release around March of next year.
