Microsoft Surface Phone: Specs, Release Date, and Update

The rumors regarding the surface phone are not confirmed yet by Microsoft. They remain silent and the news still a speculation.

Before it comes out in the market, let us see first the specifications of the rumored surface phone.

Specifications

The surface phone will have three variants: enthusiast edition, business model, and consumer model. According to the Counsel & Heal, the basic model will have 4 GB RAM along with 64 GB storage. Many sources also reveal that the three versions the by memory will be 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM and 500 GB storage.
The smartphone will boast a 20MP rear camera that utilizes a Carl Zeiss lens and an 8MP front camera. Added accessories packed together with the handset are a smaller Surface Pen included and a USB Type-C Port for faster charging and data transfers.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor is expected for the Microsoft Surface Phone. We can also expect a 5.7 inches AMOLED display screen with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and it will be an eye-catching feature of this smartphone.

Release Date

Although the Microsoft Surface Phone is already packed with impressive specs, the device's release date is expected to be delayed due to the fact that the upcoming update to the latest Operating System is scheduled to hit the store shelves next spring, according to Yibada,

No confirmed exact date for now. However, we can expect the announcement soon from Microsoft itself and the smartphone to release on or before April 2017.

Price

Reports claim that Microsoft will be focusing a lot on the design of the Surface Phone. It will make the smartphone slim and sophisticated to add the premium feel to it just like iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. The rumored price of this smartphone ranges from $700-$1100, depends on the variant you choose.
