5 Must Watch Best Horror Movies Of The 21st Century

Halloween does not only happen in October. You can give in to your desire of playing trick or treat at any day especially in satisfying your curiosity with terrifying tv series and horror movies. Here are the 10 best scary films that you shouldn’t watch all by yourself. And oh, do not forget your popcorn on the side.

1.  “28 Days Later...” (2002)

Danny Boyle's zombie thriller went beyond real-world terrors. Screenwriter Alex Garland explained via Rolling Stone on the concept of the film.

"Danny was particularly interested in issues that had to do with social rage – the increase of rage in our society, road rage and other things."

The movie shows a handful of survivors that tried to stay a step ahead of unstoppable hordes of rampaging undead, who don't just target the living but seem to be overwhelmed with rage as they chase the movies’ heroes with lunatic nightmares.

2.  “The Conjuring” (2013)
A ghost story set in the early 1970s, paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) visit a Rhode Island family who claimed their home is haunted worse, using their children for evil forces. Stately, sophisticated dread permeates every frame, with Wan devilishly toying with his audience as they jump at every creaky floorboard and a random trip to the super-eerie basement.

3.  “The Babadook” (2014)
According to Den of Geek, Jennifer Kent’s “The Babadook” is the scariest film of 2014.
A horror movie that is fearless in showing what happens when a single, underpaid mother discovers that her child’s nightmare boogeyman is true. While a loving son, there is no denying that the film’s young Samuel is a “problem child,” and through supernatural possession his mother has found a forbidding solution of sorts.

4.  “Dead Silence” (2007)
“Dead Silence” will take you to greater heights of your fears. If you have the killer guts and strength to conquer your paranoia, then prepare yourself for a thrilling situation.

After killing a boy who dared to notice her lips moved while working with her dummy Billy, she herself was killed by vigilantes who removed her tongue—and generations of their descendants have shared the same tragic fate when confronted with dummy Bill.

5.  “Don’t Breathe” (2016)
Per The Sydney Morning Herald, “Don't Breathe” traps three young aggressive thieves inside the home of a vicious, blind war veteran (Stephen Lang). It's set almost entirely in the blind man’s claustrophobic, labyrinthine – and pitch-black – house.

What they didn’t know was the blind man they underestimated has beastly killing powers that they cannot imagine.

Now, are you ready to scream to your heart’s content? Just make sure that you have a bunch of brave pals to accompany you in the dark. Otherwise, the scary scenes will continue to haunt you...even in your dreams.
