Android 7.0 Nougat Ready To Download and Install For Smartphones

Andoid 7.0 Nougat launched last August 22, 2016 and now the update to the latest OS is set to bring smart storage, app shortcuts and other features that might make iOS users become jealous. Here is the list of updates on which devices will receive Android 7.0 Nougat.
Nexus
We all know that Nexus are the smartphones that always got the first to have when it comes to Android updates. Although Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X owners have reported problems after updating to Android 7.0, still, they are proud to present that other Nexus are ready for updates, too. Here they are:

  • Nexus 6P
  • Nexus 5X
  • Nexus 9
  • Nexus 6
  • Nexus Player
  • Pixel C
  • General Mobile 4G (Android One)

Samsung
Some of Samsung smartphones such as the Galaxy Note 4 has only recently received Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on some carriers in the U.S. The said Android OS version could also be the last update scheduled for the Galaxy S5 since the device is more than 2 years old now.

Even if there are many issues regarding the explosion of the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung doesn't stop their updates on the operating system of their other phones.

  • Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge
  • Galaxy Note 5
  • Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+

LG
According to TechTimes, LG G5 have its OS Android Nougat as early as August this year. The highly anticipated LG V20 will be powered by Android 7.0 Nougat when the phablet is released on Oct. 28.
Even if LG G3 is 2 years old already, it might also get the update on its OS. Other smartphones are:

  • LG V20, LG V10
  • LG G5, LG G3

Sony
There are news leaks that many of the Sony smartphones will get its update on the operating system. Here is the list with its expected month of arrival of the Andoid 7.0 Nougat.

  • Xperia X Performance, Xperia XZ - October
  • Xperia X, Xperia X Compact - November
  • Xperia Z5, Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet - December
  • Xperia XA, Xperia Ultra - early 2017

Motorola

After Nexus smartphones, The Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus have become the first phones to get the update to Android 7.0 Nougat. Here are more of Motorola's smartphones to update:

  • Moto G (4th Gen), Moto G Plus (4th Gen), Moto G Play (4th Gen)
  • Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen), Moto X Style, Moto X Play, Moto X Force
  • Moto Z, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Force Droid, Moto Z Play, Moto Z Play Droid
  • Droid Maxx 2
  • Droid Turbo 2

HTC

According to Android Authority, HTC will do the same technique just like last year. HTC did pretty well with its first update to Marshmallow. The unlocked Developer Edition HTC One M9 and all variants of the HTC One A9 got the Marshmallow update in December 2015. The HTC 10 arrived in April running Android Marshmallow out of the box. Now, here are the smartphones to upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat.

  • HTC 10
  • HTC One M10, HTC One M9, HTC One A9

OnePlus
OnePlus are actively working for Android 7.0 Nougat to reach the OnePlus 3 model, although they could not provide the exact date of the release. Both OnePlus 2 and 3 could receive the Android upgrade in the first quarter of 2017 at the latest.
