Overwatch has arguably been the most played game as to date. Fans are loving the game's exceptional gameplay ever since it was released several months ago. Currently, another game that emerged on Steam looked like a lost identical twin of the famous Overwatch game. The reported game was entitled Paladins: Champions of the Realms. Paladins was initially released last month and is still on its open beta stage. With Overwatch and Paladins sharing some similarities, still, most fans reiterate that Paladins is not Overwatch's clone.

Since Paladins' gameplay was released, gamers cannot help but compare it to Overwatch. However, upon knowing the game more, there are lots of unique differences in terms of heroes, features and offerings. Unlike Overwatch, the card system for Paladins: Champions of the Realm are always active which grant players to boost a certain aspect of their skills and gameplay. Players are also given the freedom to choose their own card build depending on their preferred gameplay.

Matches from Overwatch are more dynamic compared to Paladins. A Reddit user posted that Paladins' matches feel repetitive which sometimes bore some gamers. Paladins: Champions of the Realms currently has two maps which are almost similar with the gameplay while Overwatch has maps that are unique to the game.

One review of Paladins found on Steam site said that Paladins received much hate for copying the concept of Overwatch. However, Paladins offers more versatility to the players in terms of gameplay. The game heroes are much alike, but it is considered to be cliché since video games normally have tanks, support, archers and snipers. The graphics comparison between the two gives Overwatch a bit of an edge, still you do not dare sleep on Paladins. Since the game is still on beta, it has more room to improve.

Nonetheless, both games are great. In addition, they both cater to different type of gamers and accessibility. One being free-to-play and the other is only available after you purchased the game.
